Best. Day. Everrrrr! This is a popular choice as a first high peak, and I highly recommend it to try out Winter hiking! We have climbed these peaks in all seasons and conditions, and they never disappoint.

Conditions were absolutely PERFECT…snowshoes 100% of the trek with the boulders, roots, and other trail hazards now well packed away under the snow. The trail was well broken out already by people before us so we cruised right up with no difficulty.

We started at about 11:45 and were back at the car in five hours.

The summits themselves were all about an experience as there was very little to see. Even without the panoramic views, the summits were awesome in every sense of the word. Howling winds, blowing snow, a nice adrenaline rush haaahahaaa!
